Farmhouses and Vineyards

Circular route hiking between the farmhouses and the vineyards of Vico Equense.

Starting from the square of Arola, where you take what was in ancient times the only road to the other villages and farmhouses, between cultivated land, orchards and olive groves and with the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius as a frame during the first part of our walk.

First stop at the village of Fornacelle, completely gathered around the small church with the curved facade and the hanging spire bell tower. Then a staircase will allow us to reach Pacognano, with the Renaissance Villa Della Porta which belonged to the scientist, writer, alchemist and philosopher who found inspiration for his experiments in these places. Through a path, now forgotten by the most but known to the local people as "the 7 pezze", we will climbing up, to the refined and elegant village of Preazzano among villas, pergolas and vineyards.
